  • Students will load from the back to the front and assigned seating may be a possiblity. It is recommended that parents screen their children in the mornings and that an adult stand outside with the bus riders until they have been screened and cleared to ride the bus. Contactless temperature screenings will be administered to students as they enter the bus.
  • Students with a reading of 100 or more will not be permitted to ride the bus.
  • Parents should be prepared for your child(ren) to return to the house if they are running a fever greater than 100.
  • Bus riders will be re-screened as they enter their campus by school staff.
  • If riding a bus is not an absolute necessity for your child(ren), we ask that you consider dropping them off and picking them up if possible.
  • Buses will be disinfected daily.

Cell Phones are Prohibited While Driving Through a School Zone

Texas school zone law, under HB 347, prevents using a cell phone when driving through an active school crossing zone. This includes property of a public elementary, middle, or junior high school for which a local authority has designated a school crossing zone. Exempt from this law, are vehicles that are stopped, drivers using hands free devices, or making a call to emergency services such as police, medical, fire or other first responders.

Whether your student is a bus rider, car rider or walker, we want to ensure that your child get home safely each day.  If you would like to make a one day change to how your child will get home, please contact the school office at 936-552-3441 before 12 noon on that day and we will notify them of the change.
