Central Heights ISD Announces School Closure for Wednesday, January 28, 2026
We understand how important it is to provide our community with a safe and adequate educational environment for all students. Unfortunately, at this time, winter storm–related electrical issues have not been fully resolved and are preventing us from providing proper heating throughout all district campuses.
Because student and staff safety remains our top priority, Central Heights ISD will be closed on Wednesday, January 28, 2026. This decision was not made lightly, and we sincerely regret the disruption this closure may cause to our families.
Due to this closure being related to power outage issues in the elementary, basketball games vs. Huntington will still be played in the high school gymnasium Wednesday night.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue to work diligently to restore safe operating conditions across the district.
Families are encouraged to stay informed by monitoring all district communication platforms, including ParentSquare, StudentSquare, and the Central Heights ISD website, for the latest updates.
Thank you for your continued support of Central Heights ISD.
Sincerely,
Justin Keeling, Superintendent
Central Heights ISD
